Lollapalooza Argentina Returns to San Isidro with Global Stars and New Experiences

This Friday, the iconic Hipódromo de San Isidro will once again become the epicenter of live music as thousands of fans gather for a new edition of Lollapalooza Argentina. Over the course of three days, the massive festival will host some of the biggest names in international music, including Tyler, The Creator, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter, creating a celebration that blends music, art, and community.

The festival grounds in San Isidro, located just north of Buenos Aires, will open daily at 12:30 p.m., welcoming thousands of attendees eager to enjoy performances across multiple stages. Organizers expect large crowds throughout the weekend, making transportation logistics an important consideration for those planning to attend.

Headliners and Major Performances

This year’s lineup features a diverse mix of global stars and emerging artists. Day one will be headlined by Tyler, The Creator, who will perform in Buenos Aires for the first time while presenting material from his latest album Don’t Tap The Glass. Known for his innovative sound and artistic vision, the founder of Odd Future rose to international fame with influential albums such as Flower Boy and Igor.

Also performing on the opening day is Lorde, returning with a show marked by sonic experimentation. The lineup will also feature the punk-hardcore energy of Turnstile, bringing an intense start to the festival.

Local representation comes from Argentine rock band Turf, led by frontman Joaquín Levinton, who will perform on the Alternative Stage with a setlist filled with classic national hits.

Saturday’s highlights include the Argentine debut of Chappell Roan, widely regarded as one of the most exciting new voices in pop thanks to her viral hit “Good Luck, Babe!”. The day will also feature the return of electronic music powerhouse Skrillex, who is expected to transform the venue with high-energy beats and immersive visuals.

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi will bring his emotional ballads to the stage, while Argentine urban music star Paulo Londra returns to the festival.

The closing night on Sunday will be headlined by Sabrina Carpenter, who returns to Argentina after opening for Taylor Swift during her 2023 tour. Carpenter will showcase songs from her recent album Man’s Best Friend, released in August.

The final day will also feature performances by alternative metal legends Deftones and rising rapper Doechii, known for her viral track “Anxiety” and standout festival appearances.

Transportation and Access

Organizers are encouraging festivalgoers to use public transportation to reach the venue. One of the most convenient options is the Tigre branch of the Mitre Line, whose San Isidro station is located a short walk from the festival entrances. Following months of infrastructure work, trains are once again operating from Retiro station.

Several bus lines—including 60, 168, 203, 343, and 365—also connect the city with San Isidro, though delays are common during the festival due to heavy traffic along Avenida Santa Fe and Centenario.

To facilitate departures after the shows, the Mitre Line will run extended night service between San Isidro and Belgrano C from 11:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m., while bus routes will operate with extended schedules into the early morning.

Festival organizers also offer pre-booked shuttle buses that connect the venue with major city points such as Puente Saavedra, Plaza Italia, and the Obelisco.

Accessibility and Inclusive Spaces

Accessibility remains a central focus for this year’s festival. A dedicated entrance for people with disabilities is located on Avenida Bernabé Márquez, where assistance carts, adapted viewing platforms, accessible restrooms, sensory toys, and hearing protection are available. Staff members will also be present to provide assistance throughout the event.

New Spaces and Immersive Stages

The 2026 edition introduces several new features designed to enhance the festival experience. One of the most notable changes is the transformation of the Perry’s Stage, traditionally associated with electronic and urban music. The stage now features an immersive design with circular screens and lighting that surrounds the audience, creating a 360-degree visual experience.

Meanwhile, Kidzapalooza—the area dedicated to children—has been relocated to the center of the festival grounds, reinforcing the event’s intergenerational appeal and allowing families to participate more easily.

Another addition is the Relax Zone, a green oasis designed to provide shade, seating, and a quiet space for attendees to recharge between performances. The area reflects the festival’s growing focus on sustainability and well-being.

A Festival That Redefines Live Music

With international headliners, redesigned stages, family-friendly spaces, and improved accessibility, the 2026 edition of Lollapalooza Argentina promises to once again redefine the live music experience in South America.

As thousands of fans gather at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, the festival will continue its tradition of bringing together music lovers from across Argentina and beyond for three unforgettable days of performances, creativity, and cultural connection. 🎶
